Agreed.
Plus it's hard to click the middle button without moving the wheel further round.
A good bit of programming, but it would work better as part of a portfolio's content rather than the navigation for said portfolio.

No pictures of his work, annoying music that can't be shut off and awkward navigation as you don't have good control or tactile feedback.
I wouldn't hire any designer that used that as his portfolio. A good flash programmer perhaps.
