Hey all, just wondering about those of you who live in the Phillippines or Hong Kong - a mate of mine is going to the Fils for a few months, via HK. I've been meaning to get a new phone for a long time, but prices are prohibitive in Australia (especially when I have expensive tastes). I was just wondering what kind of prices certain phones go for in either HK or the Fils? Additionally, are there any problems associated with bringing a phone from one of these places to Australia? As long as it's GSM it should operate fine (and any of the phones I'm considering will be tri- or- quad-band anyway, so that's no biggie. Phone language is something I'd just get somebody to help with down here.

If possible, I'd really appreciate some rough price listings for the following phones:

Sony Ericcson P900
Sony Ericcson K700i
Motorola RAZR V3 (that awesome new one in the other thread)

Yeah - they're pretty much the only ones I'm considering. Other suggestions for phones are most welcome.

What are prices there? A quick look at phones a few weeks ago in Perth and those models seemed pretty equal to the prices in SE Asia. Newer models have less "give", especially hot models like the V3 (if only if had memory).

Thanks for the responses; the P910i and RAZR V3, in Australia, each go for around $1300 or so.

I'll probably end up with a T630 or something, but ah well. We'll see how the prices go. I'll post an update soon.
