The iRiver H10 was introduced today in Seoul, Korea.
According to Yang Deok-joon, ReignCom (iRiver) president & CEO: "As Apple Computer’s influence in the global portable music player market is growing rapidly, iRiver seeks to restore Korea’s reputation as the global MP3 player powerhouse with the launching of the H10, our ambitious hard disc drive installed MP3 player...The H10 is the first MP3 player that is fully compatible with Microsoft’s PlaysForSure platform. All digital contents on Web portal sites that adopt the open platform, PlaysForSure, can be easily downloaded into the H10, whereas Apple’s iPod models adopt its own platform that is not fully compatible with PlaysForSure."

eh .. i'll wait for the reviews.
play/ffw/rev buttons on the side iirc.
big gaps in the material. small screen.
that being said, it's way better than it's bigger brother (the black color lcd one)
it's almost ipod mini size, think it's a bit thicker.
it's got stylish colors *ducks*, and has a color lcd.
we'll see what all the gearheads out there thinks.
so what's the official ipod killar!!!11!!1!one!! # for this guy?

The features are nice, but the price is a bit high and the aesthetics scream "we tried to hard to be cool."

It's interesting how Apple continues to maintain the lead in aesthetics. Don't any of these competitors actually hire designers?

I know some people want it, but I'm against any kind of radio in my music player. It's just an unnecessary feature for me. I have an iPod so I can avoid the radio (and Clear Channel in particular). As far as news goes, I can wait until I get to my car or somewhere with internet access.

Yeah, but they can't get the good drugs that Ives gets.

Damn them and their extra features.
And a color screen? well that's overkill-montone all the way

It may not kill the Mini yet, but it's getting ALOT closer, especially with the current low availability of Minis. Apple's going to have to watch out or they'll fall victim to their fatal flaw ... thinking they've got the market cornered while the market passes them by.

Exactly.
Color screen, 1 more gig of storage, WMA and worse controls, for 90 bucks more. I dunno.
I do know that nothing is going to "kill" the iPod. Maybe slightly dent, but the KILLARR business is obviously ludicrous.

I was just at the Apple Store in Woodfield last night and them seemed to have every type of iPod in stock, inlcuding the Pink minis. I think they're selling fasr so there' an atmosphere that there isn't going to be enough of them, but I'm pretty sure Apple has made enough for the season.
