Almost everyone likes pictures of Hummingbirds. They're so small and fast moving, it's hard to get a good look at them. When you show pictures of hummingbirds, people are impressed, because they can see all of the wonderful details. Details like the iridescent feathers, the long sharp claws, and the tiny black eyelashes become more visible than when they are flitting around the yard, showing flashes of color.

Enjoy!

Amazing, some of them even look like 3D renderings.

In America only? I almost paid for a humming bird in London, but she wanted too much.

But I digress. Nice shots.

love hummingbirds ... little hovering balls of exploding feathers.

one of my favorites when it comes to birds.

Those are beautiful humming bird pictures. Quite an amazing bird. Thank you for the link.

A little side note: a hummingbird's heart beats 1250 beats per minute. That's ~20 beats per second

These pictures are amazing!
Just wondering, anyone here know how difficult it would be to get hummingbirds into Iceland (since I know there are probably more people here willing to look at Icelandic laws than exist in my group of friends (or any other group of anything, for that matter))?

Damn, what shutter speed! The first one is awesome. Although I don't like hummingbirds (or any birds besides penguins), the pictures are fantastic.
