I would like to say I am not one-upping you but I made out with the boss's wife at the christmas party this year (while he took pictures)...don't ask, but three days later she called me and told me he was REALLY upset about it....I was beating myself up all day until I went to work and found out they were just fu*king with me...needless to say when she approached me a few days later ("i'm not finished with you yet") I was intimidated. They obviously are fairly open about their marraige, but even so it is a bad idea...it gets into your head.

The boss's daughter is just as dangerous, if not more though. I doubt they have an "arrangement". In my case I am emerging from a ten year marraige, and am starting to feel a little long in the tooth and ready to make up for lost time....Start your engines!

But since we are in the topic, four years back, I actually made out with a Board Member (she was the youngest board member ever and looking to have fun). I try to have a policy of keeping business separate from pleasure, but the key word here is "try." Besides, this was when I was 24. I now try hard to keep the two separate.

Actually, just bored out of my mind at work (does it show?). But one can do and should do (and can get away with) are totally different things. There may be no problem with someone pursing a chick. But when that chick's dad is also the boss, therein lies the potential for conflict.

Depends on how protective daddy is and what the chickie's all about.

If you're already looking for another job, why not just wait until you find one? In the meantime, you could keep the flirting going, nothing wrong with that.

Personally, I like keeping work and regular life as away from each other as I can. So, if I were in your shoes, I'd either wait until I was working elsewhere, or simply bag the whole deal; plenty of other femmes out there.

There are plenty of women out there. I see beautiful women all the time. That is why, I didn't push it further. I could have easily have set up a date with her. Like so, "Hey listen, I'm going to be on campus next week. Let's meet up for some drinks."

Et woila. They normally agree, since to not agree would mean thinking of an excuse. And, since she doesn't have a boyfriend at the moment, she would have to find another convincing argument. Anyway, I left it open because if she wants to hook up it will be on her initiative not mine.

I don't mean to make myself into a god's gift to women or come across as if I'm a master of the ladies. It's simple pheromones, she's flirting with me and I am casually (granted I did give her my cell phone #) seeing where things go. Chances are, that nothing will come of it.

I think that since the Boss followed your advice and bought her the iBook, you should be OK. Sounds as though the encounter was cordial and polite.
