Anyone know why there are no .mac memberships listed on ebay?

I had bought a spare membership with a laptop just after I renewed my membership over a year ago. I thought I had lost the package until I was cleaning out a closet today. When my membership came due a few months ago, I opted not to pay to renew when I couldn't find my paid for renewal. Since, I've grown to like my gmail account enough to not see the need to renew my .mac.

...too much info...

I was looking on ebay to see what .mac accounts were going for...none were listed.
any ideas why? what should I do with it?

You can not sell non-physical things on eBay. Something like a "membership" is non-physical. You could sell the .Mac retail box, but few people buy those to sell them on eBay I guess, since that's a sured loss deal.

I see. I don't know what to do with it. Any ideas for a venue to sell it.

Then why are (were?) there so many Gmail invites on eBay? eBooks? Web sites for sale? Templates for web sites?

*cough*bullshit!*cough*

You can sell as many "non-physical" things on ebay as you want, and make a lot of money too. Try searching for stuff like Diablo, Everquest, Slashdot, etc accounts.
