Most likely not today... everyone always thinks He's coming back right away. My guess we're gona see the escalated persecution of the Church in the west, and see the rise of the Church in the east and south. Possibly see a war between the Islamics and new Christian areas. There's lots coming that's to interesting to not wait out

troll.

What if you consider that jesus may have been a corporeal human, but refuse to consider him any more divine than any other man?

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.

Or we could make 'organised religion' (ie the church) illegal, and simply have personal beliefs, while respecting other people's beliefs - or lack of.

Everyone is happy - except control freaks.
Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things, it takes religion - Steven Weinberg.

Not even the Son knows the day or the hour, but only the Father.

Its been 2000 odd years. When it comes to waiting for a fella that lives forever and to whom time is meaningless, I'm not gonna hold my breath.

I don't see how that would negate his coming either way.

I used to attend this church who said that europe would fall and become almost 3rd world. Well, they didn't in fact they are becoming stronger and stronger and have been fairy united, just look how good the euro is doing!

Just recently I visited their website (I haven't attended in ages) ad now they preach of a united Europe becoming a world super power and this is the end time signaling Christ's return.

Heh, its easy if you just keep changing the required events. Your bound to get something right. Actually talking with ex ministers they were more interested in "fleecing the flock" 10 - 2- and 30% some years! And this is a mainstream church!

Anyway, if Jesus did come back (assuming there was EVER a Jesus) maybe it would finally shut some people up?

Some do believe it is required to be part of a church. Mostly cults though, they use cool "insider" sayings like "preparing the bride [church] of christ"

So I don't think they would be happy...
