It came out in 1986 I think, I used to own it.

Its was originally made by fractal design for Letraset.

Its Black and White image manipulation software.

Used to be shipped with Ready Set Go - DTP software?

I can't find anything decent about it on the web, but it existed! I'm looking for feature listings, and ideally screenshots or boxsots!

I can't remember ImageStudio, (I do remember PixelPaint, though), but its capabilities were eventually included in ColorStudio and those eventually went into Painter, which is now owned by Corel. The ImageStudio native image format is the RIFF format, which is the same as that used by Painter, so if you have any files in that format, you can open them with Painter.

I don't know how up to date this is, but you can apparently buy an old copy of ImageStudio here for $10:

i remember using it...it was way cool...it have this gravity thing so when you use the airbrush tool, the "paint" may drip as u paint...ah...

but have no idea where to look for info...you might want to post this in the design form area...or got to aiga and see if they might have info

The training video showed them retouching the font of a house adding windows removing shadows etc. Pretty groundbreaking stuff.
