Sig Frustration. Please help!

I'm a pretty bright person- but I CANNOT figure how to post an image in my sig! Or in a post for that matter. I know Photoshop like the back of my hand- and all the other industry standard programs- but this is just surpassing me for some reason.
where i do i place the image for posting?
Can I use my .mac account for this?
Right now it's on my HD- just waiting. It's lame, but I don't want to make it pretty until I know how to post it.
Help!

Put it in your .Mac "Sites" folder.
Then you do something like:
[img ]http://homepage.mac.com/yourmacname/sig.jpg[ /img]
But remove those spaces in [img ][ /img]
