Alright, i'm trying to get from A to B.

A:
Ive taken tons of photographs on my digital camera over the holidays, and theyre 1600X1200 resolution. HUGE.

i'd want to:
B:
scale the images down to 800X600 and save them as JPEGS at a specific quality (ala Photoshop imageready). BUT, i dont want to have to do that for each image ive taken, individually, since it'll take way too long.

Is there any way to automate that process ? or any site/tutorials out there that could help ?
Basically i want to create a 'filter' that will scale the images in a list down, and save them at a specific quality setting.

Cheers

create a "batch process droplet" in photoshop, and run it for the images in a particular folder.

/not sure about the terminology, but it works in ps.

If you have photoshop, and all the images are in one folder, then you can record an Action to resize and save as JPEG with one picture, then batch process that action over all the images in the folder.

In case you don't have Photoshop - Graphic Converter does batch conversions as well.
