Having the house at 70 would be unbearable for me. For my wife and I 60 is just about right.

It's 74 degrees in my house right now. The heat is off and some windows are cracked open. Outside it should get to around 75 today. It's good to be in the south. 
I just moved out of Rhode Island so I'm very happy with the temperature change. When I was in RI we kept the temp between 68-70 during the winter.

But you didn't do it until I pointed out environmentalist/SUV-hater's hypocrisy.
