I just heard on NPR's Marketplace that Apple will make a product announcement on Monday. I thought Jobs was keynoting on Tuesday?

MacWorld starts on the 10th, and the keynote is on the 11th.

An Apple press release on Monday revealing its new lineup of products might help explain why Jobs doesn't feel the need to stream his keynote on Tuesday.

The announcement coincides with my arrival the airport, the keynote coincides with my only free day in San Fran. Hmmm.., interesting...

Something airport, either express or a card.

Either way that damn iHome is fake.

100% fake, were to start were to start. CD drive is wrong. no video out, no power plug, packaging is all wrong (no top padding, 100% going to cause allot of damaged units), etc.

Don't make this about that thing again. There's already a thread about that. So is Apple doing a press announcement on Monday or not?

I think it's cause Jobs doesn't have enough time to cover all the releases in the keynote. Apple's been pretty busy, and there's simply not enough time to go over all the new stuff, so that's why they're probably gonna announce some products separately of the keynote (like they've already done with XServe and XSan). According to some rumors, we most likely will also have to wait a while to hear separate announcements of upgrades to Apple's pro line, this keynote promises to be about: iPod (mini, flash, regular), Tiger, third-party developers, Headless iMac, iLife and iWork. There's simply not enough time to demo all this stuff and still have time for Powerbook, and PowerMac, especially with the slow pace that Jobs goes at.
