Because 3 new "extremely critical" exploits were found in IE 6 for XP SP2.

Do you think PC users care? All most PC users care about is the cheapness of PC's and they are totally uneducated in computers. They buy whatever the salesman makes the most commission on.

I had to laugh when I saw this in your link:

Solution:
Use another product.

Refreshingly blunt! IE is teh suckzorz, but Firefox and/or Safari on a Mac seems to do just fine.

At the very least, anyway, besides enhanced security, a new version of Internet Explorer for Windows should have tabbed browsing: it's the only major web browser which doesn't yet have it, even if one can enhance it with "additions" such as MyIE2. Firefox is much better, now, of course - even if less integrated with the system (which can be both good or bad, according to the various possible points of view).

As long as you ignore the fact Microsoft continues to update Internet Explorer for Windows XP, yes, it is too bad IE won't be updated until Longhorn.

There's really no reason not to use Firefox over IE. It's just too bad that there's no good way to tell most average users that.

I wonder how effective Firefox's NY Times ad was?

Will this one month old bug in Firefox be fixed anytime soon?

Hopefully I won't have to ask the same question about this one in one month.
