I miss Pacific Bell park (which sounds like Pacific BELLE) .. SBC park sounds so ... ugh.
anyways, San francisco is plastered with ipod posters and billboards and other adds. BART (Bay area rapid transit) powell street station (the one downtown-shopping area-union square-applestore) is covered wall to wall ... on the pillars, on the advertising backlit displays .. everywhere ... the place is covered. for those in the city or those coming to san francisco, check that shiz out. I should take my digi cam and snap a buncha pics for u guys.
iPod park .. has a ring to it.

Candlestick, even if it's a different park. Besides, knowing the Giants, they'd go for the Balco Clear Arthritis Ointment Park moniker.

Macworld coming up. Semi-retirement = full time school and work coming up soon. Besides, my posting died down for a little bit until recently.

Headless iMac comes without keyboard and mouse. You buy your choice of externals.
Super Mario is telling you why Apple externals dropped in price.

That would be stupid. Offer a $499 computer, but then charge extra for choice of keyboard and mouse?

Most have them already if they don't they can buy one. Apple reduced the prices last week. They can buy other brands if not Apples.

I agree. Everything Apple can charge extra for to make a buck, while keeping the systems price low, they will leave out. I bet almost all the display adapters are extra as well - one for VGA, DVI, S-Video/RCA ... although I am sure one output is included in some form.

While monitors are a different kettle of fish as many use non-Apple monitors with laptops or as a second monitor, a pc keyboard does not match Apple's layout, the Apple keys vs the control, alt, windows keys.

i was just thinking that as well. i can see how a mouse could be cut since many will opt for a two button scroll mouse, but i think it would leave a bad taste in consumer's mouths to open the box and find a mac without keyboard or mouse or monitor. i dunno ... either way, a lower priced mac = in my opinion

What I don't get is, if indeed there is a PB update (which most defiantly there is), and if in fact it's only a speed bumped g4, why make a big deal out of it at MWSF? Doesn't apple usually just quietly reveal speed bumps?
I do not think we will see updated g4 PB's this week. We will either see something considerably new or nothing at all with the PB.

MWSF is shutdown except for attendees.
