I know, yet another thread... I apologize.

I'd really like to watch the keynote delayed stream whenever it gets posted. Normally I would just wait until the day of and wait for someone to post a link, but by that time, the forums will be flooded with all the announcements of the new products and so on.

Does anyone happen to know where the stream will be located, i.e. a specific link, so that I can just check that throughout the day and not have to come to the forums or the main page here?

Sorry, I know this is an odd request, but I thought it would be kind of fun watching the keynote and being surprised as the crowd is with all the new products.

We supposedly know the exact time the stream will be posted (6 PM PST, 8 PM CST, 9 PM EST), so you can just bop over to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/whatson/appleevents/ at that time and find the link. That way you won't spoil the surprise (hopefully, unless Apple puts spoilers in their text).

Avoid the internet, don't let yourself go to apple.com or anything to see the new products, and watch the delayed stream as if it's live. I think that's what I might do

I don't have enough self control for that. Although I'd like to do it, I know I'm going to be searching around the internet all day tommorow to see what was released.

I'm still very disappointed that Steve isn't allowing us to see this live via satellite at a local Apple Store. If he keeps his word we have less than 24 hours till the QuickTime.

tuesday? since when is the keynote on the second day? oh btw Macnn's main site doesnt say its on tuesday!!

'Apple will not provide a a live satellite feed or Webcast for Steve Jobs' keynote at Macworld Expo. However, Apple is expected to provide a Video-on-Demand (in QuickTime) later in day. Several web reports indicate that the release will be at 6:00PM PST."

'Cept...y'know...last year's.

http://www.macworld.com/news/2003/12...note/index.php

...and the year before that. And, I think, the year before that.

(In other words, for Macworld Expos, keynotes usually come on the second day)

I was going to do what Macintoligist is dong and avoid the internet at all costs until I watch the keynote and pretend its live... but if its at 9 then I have 3 hours after work that I need to waste! Without the internet!

Steve, you let me down

at: http://stream.apple.akadns.net/

Thanks for the link BTW

EDIT: Does Apple always stream with 3ivX? or did it pick 3ivX because I have the codec installed?

p.s. I wonder what kind of Xsan they have setup to encode the show to 3ivX + others in that short of time! ouch!

It's showing MPEG-4 in my get info screen. They also probably are using Broadcaster and have "save to disk" checked so all they have to do is upload the encoded file and post the link.
