MacMegasite inaccurately reported on a blog that shows the iHome as actually being the Elgato EyeHome

Considering I own an Elgato EyeHome, I will tell you that the Elgato EyeHome is MUCH smaller when the fake iHome... The face plate is also much different and the back is totally different. This just underlines why I hate blogs.

Anyone getting news from a blog needs to go for a walk anyway.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

As another iHome owner, I concur with Mitchell. I'd also like to note that although Apple has usurped dead trademarks in the past, they are not so brazen as to try and grab an existing, active trademark. The "iHome pictures" are fake, and if such a media server does come into existence it will not be called "iHome".

I think it's just sad that MacMegasite is looking to blogs for rummers. I realize they are reporting on a rumor, but they could have seen that the backs are totally different... and potentially looked to see that the sizes are off (by about 2X)
