...and it was exactly as I expected. An FPS just like Sin but looked like Unreal Tournament, only boring.

The first Halo sucks except for a few levels, very repetitive.

The second one is amazing though.

I haven't played Halo 2, but Halo is only really fun IMO when you're playing with a large group of people.

I totally agree. My love of Halo 1 is based solely on the multiplayer. The single player was mediocre at best.

Am I the only one who thinks olePigeon, who goes out of his way to slam Microsoft (often with questionable or intentionally misleading data), would love Halo if it were from any company other than Microsoft?

Isn't saying you just played Halo akin to saying you just watched Star Wars (a new hope)? Or that you just listened to The Wall?

Halo has been around a long time. It's pretty big in its genre. Same with the movie and album I mentioned. Classics that almost everyone has seen and heard.

So, follow me here, I was implying pigeon was waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy behind with the times.

PS, I kinda got the cat joke too, but didn't think it too funny.

As you were.

I played Halo during a 16-player deathmatch at Macworld. I did decently, though, for the first time playing it. First round I got last place, second round I got 8th place, then the third and fourth rounds I got 5th place.

The guys that won just sat there spawn killing, and whenever they got trapped they killed themselves to avoid giving the other person a kill.

My biggest gripe is that the bullets fire at 15 Mph. Trying to snipe with that rail gun thing was ridiculous. You could practically see the bullet and dodge it it was so slow.

I think both of them have at least average single-player campaigns. Maybe a little below average. I have been going through the first one on my gaming PC on Legendary, and it's still hard as ever. I love the weapon balance in Halo 2. It's also more difficult because the most plentiful weapon, the plasma pistol, is no longer one of the most powerful ones in the game.

Anyway, Halo 2 does have much better level design. On the other hand, I think the story gets a bit too convoluted in 2, while the first has a much simpler story. It also provides more closure (although that's not saying much, given Halo 2's ending). Overall, 2 is definitely better though I still find the original to be fun on the higher difficulty levels.

I really liked AvP. That was fun the first time I played it at my friends house. Since we had all the lights off and everything, it was pretty spooky.
