Intrigued, mainly because I have never used a Library computer before. Who defines what is educational and what is not?

The librarian, evidently... err, unless the scary lady Peter referred to was just some scary lady who cruises libraries looking for young men to intimidate... Hopefully she won't find me! I'm in a library at the moment taking a break from revision. I think my brain's full.

It couldn't have been a public library... a school library maybe? Unless the UK has some messed up library policies. That wouldn't fly in a US public library. There has been debate whether people should be allowed to view porn or not. Freedom of speech and all that.

That librarian's probably a ghost.

Call these guys. They'll know how to handle her.

It's not too difficult to go to college at 16 here in the US. You simply have to take some tests and graduate high school a little sooner.

Some don't even require that you graduate high school.

I would say Slashdot is highly educational. These forums are fun but are blown away by reading /. at +4 (or somedays -1).

We must remember that bandwidth here in the UK is about a billion times more expensive than in first-world countries. All that Slashdot bickering would suck the life out of the little 2400 bps connection that the college has.

That said. Is this an all-male college? No hotties around to bother?

You'd like the library I work at. It's usually pretty dead and there are a few people who come in and use the computers all f*cking day. Like, they come in between 5 minutes early and ten minutes after opening, and play internet poker until the security guard kicks them out. It's probably some homeless guy.

"That's Mama Luigi to you, Mario!" *wheeze*
