He's 8 for crying out loud. If he indeed made that site, he definitely has some key concepts down. An artist he's not, however, and I don't think he or his following is trying to claim that he is.
I'll say one thing - the kid definitely has a mind for self-promotion. Who else would get a picture taken with a celebrity while holding up a sign with their own name on it?

Yeah, I'm sure his parents aren't forcing him to do any of this and it was his idea to do all this for publicity and in the end, $.

Well, that one comment from his resume is a bit rude
Maks are teh Sux0rs!!!! If computer is so easy that an idiot can use it, only idiots will use it ! bwahahahaha .
but my favorite one was
_Ajay had the honor of getting exclusive appointment with Microsoft Chief Bill Gates in Hyderabad on 14th Novemver-2002. Ajay showed Mr. Gates a demo of Longhorn, which he has been working on since 2001. Mr. Gates gave Ajay his blessing and allowed him to drop WinFS as long as he completes it by 2006"

And what, pray tell, should Apple do with this kid once they take note of him? He's already a Microserf, obviously, he's not gonna be open to new things...

For 8, that's pretty impressive. He's certainly got a long way to go, but he's got a long time to get there.

This is why you start kids out on unix boxes
If that kid was raised on unix/OS X, he'd be an open source evangalist right now, discussing to his friends the advantages of open software over Microsoft crap.

Interviews with the kid indicate that he likes the attention, so I'm not sure how much "forcing" his parents are doing.
However, I'm sure they've been giving him advice. But that's how one learns. We've all had teachers and mentors (I hope).

Seems like a bright kid. Like any kid, he's playing with toys right now. When he grows up, he'll get a Mac.
Actually, (sort of OT) I remember watching some type of "where are they now?" show a while back and they had this guy on there who back in the 80s was an Apple II software whizkid. He got a lot of media attention when he emancipated himself from his parents and started his own software company. He was so bright as a kid that he apparently even had a brief stint working at Apple! They showed his office on Apple campus, with the nameplate on his door stating simply "The Kid". I wish I could remember more of the details (like the guy's freakin name for starters) but my memory has more holes than Windows. Anybody else ever hear anything about this?

I've observed an interesting phenomenon. People who begin their computer using life on the Mac, can switch to other OSs with ease, but people who start out with Windows have a difficult time switching to Mac.
I wonder why that is?

If he really was such a whiz kid, he would have already switched to Apple.

"Ajay spends about 15-20 minutes a day with the computer.” His name has gone into the Book of World Record."
For THAT ?
Most of us here spent at least 26 hours / day at MacNN.
What book do we get in ?

ps. The kid is a young computer enthusiast, not even a prodigy programmer by any stretch. Where are his proven math and logic skillz? This kid is surrounded by WAY too much positive support. That's why he'll never be a true nerd.

Well he needs it, he's a MS Office User Specialist (or, as his site claims, a "MS Office r User Specialist) at the "Core & Expert level". I'm sure companies are just clamoring to bring in an 8-year old to teach their executives and financiers how to do the basics of Excel...

Why do I have the feeling that it's his parents who want him to be like Bill Gates, and Ajay just wants to watch cartoons and play Pokemon games with his friends.

I don't know about a lot of training. He's probably fine for the job now, as long as he can read the Dell support manuals.
