Last year... I got my iPod mini, got my PB (though that was a 500 dollar switch for an iBook) I bought iLife, the previous year my fam bought my Panther for Christmas. So Apple didn't get all that much from me last year. This year they'll probably get me for Tiger, iLife, iWork, who knows maybe even Quicktime Pro. Not to mention the Mac mini I'm gona buy my mom... this year's gona be expensive. Oh I should also note last year they got 94 bucks on iTunes from me

Last year: 0. This year: $150 for an iPod shuffle... and maybe more, if I can talk my wife into a Mac mini. (Not likely -- I don't need it, and she HATES Macs with a passion. I had to sell my iMac when I married her!)

That's silly. If she didn't like your iMac, she didn't have to use it.

Back on topic: almost 4 year old Mac, I keep adding stuff to it, but that's non-Apple, and a 2 year old iPod.

2003: $0

Definitely Tiger. Probably iLife '05. Not sure yet about iWork. Want to get a G5.

Oh, it wasn't that big of a deal. She didn't demand it, or something. But I got tired of coming home to my computer with 10 applications open, but all their windows closed. And, her incessant complaining about "there's no start button" and "where's the taskbar." I figured it was easier for me to learn Win98 then for her to learn MacOS (I switched to XP ASAP, which is 10000 times better than Win98.) It turned out to be good for my career too, as most colleagues use PC software (we write a lot of our own programs, etc.)

I buy OS updates, since there wasn't one last year, I didn't buy anything.. I didn't buy any hardware last year either from apple, mostly because mine's been working great -- awesome!

I have to admit, my machine's been very solid in the last year despite a few defects (****ed up video card) -- and my apple pro speakers broke AGAIN, but that's just fine, the computer + monitor haven't, and I got far better speakers anyway

Maybe this year, maybe next year

• Fully loaded dual 3GHz G5 with X800 XT (may slip into 2006).
• iBook (upon G5 slippage)?

I replaced my old iPod last year with a new one (40GB G3) in 2004, but that was my only major Apple purchase.

This year, I plan on replacing my PowerBook at some point, and maybe getting a 23" Cinema.

You guys surprise me... I always hear everyone on the forum talk about all their stuff... but I think I give Apple way more of my cash... though in High School I didn't but... now they make so much stuff that I wanna get...

in about 98 I got my iMac Rev D for around 2 grand
Then the next year I think I got the pro keyboard and mouse to replace mine...
The next year I think I got OS X... then I didn't really buy anything for a long time...
Then this last couple of years I've bought tons, iBook, PowerBook, iPod, iLife 04, Panther, 100 bucks worth on iTunes. That said in the future it'll be even more with iLife and iWork, plus Tiger. Plus the Mac mini I'll be getting for the mother.
