I think it's overpriced. $720 for an accessory to a game that was both cut down in size and features, and on an aging platform? No thanks.

I agree $720 is waaaay too much, but IMO GT4 was developed to just work on PS2, and work best on the forthcoming PS3. Whenever date they delay that to is beyond me.

I think that is taking it a bit far. The steering wheel and peddle accessory that came out for GT3 was quite enough for me and I didn't even buy that.

I agree, but you can do that for about $100 with the other kit, this damn thing is huge and $700!

true, it does seem like overkill. but for simulating the experience that much better... if only it were gimbaled and could simulate g-forces, mmm

Get two - one with and one without steering wheel. Then sit your gf/wife in the "passenger seat" for a more authentic driving experience.

I'm still waiting for GT4, but I've got Burnout 3 to keep me busy for now. Just got myself one of these for £17.50 with my store card. It does the job very well. That logitech looks a bit overpriced though . Noticed a big difference in how the steering works in Burnout 3 and GranTurismo 3. Burnout is very direct. GT3 is really soft and very dead around centre. I've always played on a pad before, so this was all new to me.

The Logitech Wheel that is attached to the frame in the pic is the Driving Force™ Pro one. It is the ONLY wheel available that turns 900 degrees (2-1/2 times) from lock to lock more accurately simulating a real cars steering, and was designed with GT4 in mind.
People who have got them swear by them. They are a bit spendy though.

that thing is horrible. saw one in person. the wheel is small as ****. you could drive at 10 and 2, handcuffed and not have any trouble. then again, i might be wrong. i saw a VERY similar setup, I think it's this, but maybe it was a cheap knockoff. The whole setup I sat/tinkered in - felt like crap.

does the seat adjust? 'tis would suck if you shelled out $700 bucks to find out that you can't reach the pedals or worse, can't fit.

yeah the seat is on rail and is adjustable back and forth.
The game is killing the PS2 hardware... people have been reporting rendering problem in races and i can confirm that it's true... the GT4 programmers have taken things a bit too far.
