Little kids are great and all but why must everything certain parent's own be plastered with pictures of their spawn?

Funny 'cause it's true.

It wouldn't be so bad if parents had photography skills. I don't mind looking at a picture of someone's kids if it wasn't out of focus, poorly framed, and poorly timed. Sometimes I feel like pointing at someone's baby screensaver or desktop background saying "Seriously? That's the best picture of your kid that you have?" and walk away shaking my head.

I hate to say it, because I hated hearing it before I had a child, but you guys just don't understand.

And as for you non-breeders, you'll never understand.

Personally, I think it's a great idea as I don't like logos and I don't like giving advertising for free to companies if I don't have to.

Sorry, non-breeders can be heterosexual too. My Aunt, Uncle, and brother all fit in this category.

Nice little knee-jerk reaction there.

I think those stickers are ugly, regardless of what's on them. And I do breed (but only in season).

Wow. I guess you won't be buying one then.

Personally, I'd rather look at a picture of my family than of a Apple logo. You guy can be as materialistic as you want though. You have the right not to buy the product.

Oh yeah, that's my second peeve about parents (some of them). The ridiculous smug attitude some parents project to say "oh you don't have kids so you couldn't possibly understand the wonders of our little miracle."

I know many parents. Sorry, but they don't all want to share their bundle of joy with the entire world. These friends of mine realize:
- it's pretty easy for a non-parent to understand how proud parents can be and it's not as if having a baby gives you the new emotions of empathy and pride
- their baby is no more special than the millions of other babies on the face of the earth. There's no need to show theirs to everyone else. I can understand announcing a new baby with a picture, but not handing out lots of pictures to people you don't even know and don't care.
- they have a few nice pictures of their children and look at those when they want to instead of plastering half-assed photos on everything they own.

I must have gotten mine from the mailman then because every male member of my family that I share a bloodline with has less hair loss than I do.

I hope my daughter takes after my wife when it comes to hairlines.

You're just full of the personal attacks on me. First calling me tubs and now the little jab at my hairline. I bet you're a blast at cocktail parties and art gallery opening.

Notice I haven't pointed out how ugly you are. Not even once.

Uhh, us non-breeders are perfectly capable of understanding. You have a psychological connection to your offspring that while you feel it is unnecessary to show off a clean look with a logo on it, you feel perfectly fine irritating anyone who will see your products with poorly shot ugly photos of you and your child who you will have unreasonable and down right cruel expectations of which they can never realistically live up to. Parents always love their kids until they can talk back and tell their parents how stupid they are.
I know tons of parents of teenagers who will hate and be down right abusive to their kids, but when they're cute and pliable they're so desirable. Oh and I plan to adopt if reason presents itself (IE kid gets pregnant but realizes she can't raise the kid being a pastor I'm fairly likely to run into this sorta sitch.)

By the way Kilbey, you like most "Christian" hetro, small minded people, are quite flaming anti-gay. Deny it all you want, but you can't even get by by showing love to straight people, how do you expect us to believe you have any for those "awful gay people."

This thread is on the edge of being my second thread locked. Keep up the insults guys and maybe I can even try out my ban (recommendation) hammer.

As for the product, my vote is for stupid. I don't even put colorful streamers on my bike, why would I put a picture of someone else's kid on my Mac?

Well said.

My parents love me and I don't see my ugly mug plastered on everything they own. Its this new-age "look at my wonderful kids" mentality coupled with horrible taste that produces these abominations. Have a slide show screensaver (since its meant to show pictures and all) leave the T-shirts, coffee mugs, and computers alone... they don't deserve to be uglied up by your kids folks.

Oh and a little general statement to parents here. Your baby isn't that cute, it looks like all the other babies born in the last 12 seconds which means kinda like a hairless baby chimp, and noone wants to be smothered with pictures of them. Thank you.

So true.

I think they are trying to assure everyone that they are now living the "ideal" life by having a wife and kid and everyone is happy. The fact that they are so adamant about plastering pics everywhere is that they feel insecure and incomplete unless they show "Look what I have and can do".

Big deal, you knocked up your wife and she squeezed one out. Here is a cookie as you are better than us

Loving your child and feeling happy seeing their picture in your personal workspace = unforgivable, unfashionable, and discrimantory against childless people.

Yeesh. Jack, go shopping with Karen and cheer the f*ck down.

Did the website not mention that they'll take any custom art for their foil adhesive? Not necessarily a unique idea, or something that the average person couldn't figure out for themselves with an inkjet printer and the right adhesive paper...

This idea is no worse than the HP iPod wrappers.

I've seen flagrant abuses of that priviledge. Quite frankly, the top of a Mac mini would be less conspicuous versus some of the ridiculous frames people use and take up valuable desk real estate with.

Nothing wrong with a picture in the workplace.

It get tacky when you have a picture of your kid on a mug or a family pic on a matching t-shirt that both the parents wear.

The real problem is the supiriority attitude of "We're married" and "Non-Breaders wouldn't understand".

yuck

Can I stick a picture of my cat on the side of my workplace G4?
