I think it's funny, if it's real. I highly doubt that it's real.

it reminds me of the SportKa commercial with the cat.

Sad (or funny, depending on how much you like cats) but effective.

Tasteless, yet unfunny.

Though perhaps original.

And the Polo is a mediocre model.

My guess is it's real, but it was designed to be used in a viral marketing kind of a way from the start - you'll never see it on a VW website!

No it's not real.

Look carefully, it's a right hand drive Polo, and it's in the UK. VW generally don't make localised ad. They usually use a left hand drive vehicle for the ad even for the right hand drive market.

This is incorrect. The current Passat ads, for example, show a localised vehicle and driver.

Could have been a local ad agency touting for the VW account - made the ad and VW rejected it? Our ad agency people tend to be a very weird bunch and I wouldn't put it past them to come out with something like this.
If it doesn't scare hippies, it's not worth listening to

Wrong. There have been plenty of VW ads that have been localised for the UK, examples are:

- 30 Years of the VW Golf Ad, the follows the history of a guy's VW Golf sold on to different people over 3 decades - then he goes and buys it agian.

- The VW Golf Diesel - people having to remind themselves that it's a Diesel when filling up for fuel by leaving notes saying "Diesel" except the Die[sel] is obscured so people think they've written "Die" (with the music from the excorcist in the background).

Seen these ads with my own eyes on British TV (cars had british plates, steering wheel on the other side, clearly british locations).

It wasn't really funny with the terrorism that we have currently. Quite shocking. Don't think that will sell many cars.

Completely tasteless and putrid.

Absolutely hilarious to see the chickenshit terrorist splatter himself all over the inside of the car.

I'm not going to call an ambulance this time because then you won't learn anything.

I'm not a freak of political correctness, but this is tasteless. Being tasteless maybe funny sometimes, when nobody is offended or can be offended. But in these times, that's too heavy. Of course, it's not a VW commercial. Proof? Think!

Besides that, the idea is old. And it was funny then. I'm referring to a past Samsonite commercial from the mid 90s, where a bomb suitcase is standing at an airport. The bomb goes off, the suitcase rumbles. Was pretty funny and did not offend.

Those spots are hilarious.

this site about viral marketing is amazing. The bush viz on tribal sovereignty is hilarious and just prove how much of an idiot he is. not to mention the donkey love one! it's just hysterical. And people are just laughing at the poor man.
