We got hit again by another big storm. Have I mentioned I love snow? Oh, and it's about 8 F here right now too.
Periodically someone I know who lives around here will say "Don't you wish you lived in Arizona or somewhere that you'll never have to put up with all this snow?" My only response is "NO!"
That window from the other side.
My boy loves it too!
The grill.
The grill a few minutes ago.

That is Pete. Pete, meet Spliff. Spliff, Pete.
Pete is the best dog on the planet. Bar none. He's a mixture of Grey Hound and Labrador Retriever. The kind of dog that will curl up at your feet while you post in the lounge and look at you longingly when you get up to get a beer. I would clone this dog if personalities were cloned also. Well, probably not, but I will miss him when he's gone.

Cause I love snow. But you saw last year's snow. This is 2005 snow. Oh, and I did a lot of work on that room so the pictures were brought up last Fall.

I'd love to help you out, but the world's greatest cat isn't Hobbes. It's this guy:

They both break the law of conservation of mass, but Ravage does it with more style. Since he's also a cassette tape, Ella might say this to him.

I think Ravage needs to be upgraded to a CD or MP3 file or something.

Yes I do wish I were in Arizona at this moment. Snow here on Cape Cod is coming down at an amazing rate. Expected up to 40" before it's done tonight. Sustained winds are about 40 with gusts up to 80. The power has been going on and off every half hour it seems.
My Concern? I'm well stocked on food, water, wood, and I've got plenty of rechargeables for flashlights, but what I forgot, and what could be most important is D sized batteries. They are what I need should the power be off, which it probably will, when the Patriots take on the Steelers, and I'm looking at my big worthless radio.
Go Pats!

Nice pictures Kilbey, thank you for sharing.
Were having the "Blizzard to 2005" here in New England. In the Boston area 24" + of snow.
I love snow also, makes for a beautiful landscape.

Nice looking dog. That is where my other dog was located. She's a collie and hates the cold and to get her feet wet.

*snip*
In my neck of the woods, it's not uncommon to get more than 2 meters in 24 hours. I posted pics last winter of a storm where we got 84 inches in 24 hours. And it sucked.

We got about 15 inches here in central New Jersey. My dog Kodi loves playing in the snow. However, she does sleep quite well on the couch when she comes back inside.

yay! i love snow too. unfortunately here in manchester, UK we havenae had any for over a year.
my theory:
people who like snow [and stuff like thunderstorms and nature 'red in tooth and claw'] = kids at heart.
people who hate snow and adverse weather = grown-ups at heart
me = big kid!
PS nice dog. made me think about my wee buddy [who's dead now] - he used to love running through the snow wi his nose to the ground leaving a trench, like a canine snowplough <sniff!>

Nice pics
Let's see if we can catch any remnants of the blizzard as it heads east over the Atlantic.
Over here, we've had maybe 10" snow this winter, most of the time it's been remotely green. I'm all for it, though, no pause in the boating season if the seas don't freeze.

My back still hurts from digging out of the blizzard we had in March of 2003. I think officially it was a little over 3 feet of snow in a day and a half, but I had to dig out of a 6 foot tall drift in front of our garage. Snowplows did not make it into our neighborhood for 3 more days, so it took me about 14 hours of shoveling to get out to the street. Luckily some dude had driven through the streets with a Caterpillar front-end loader so there was a kind of tunnel in the road. After 2 days of digging out, and 4 days of missed work, my wife and I just drove to the grocery store. We didn't need anything there, we just wanted to go someplace.

Yeah, didn't see any snow here in Colorado Springs either (60 miles south of Denver). I was out in near 70 degree F weather last week.
Looking at the forecast this week, we might see rain on Thursday.
