I thought Viagra was initially used as a heart medication and then after the clinical trials were over the patients wanted more samples because of the "side effects". Could have sworn I read that somewhere.

So, I read the article and another "synopsis for the lazy" is: Viagra was initially developed the treat a heart problem but it didn't work, but it did work for the impotent. Now Viagra has been to discovered to work for another heart problem.

Viagra is also used in children with cystic fibrosis to treat pulmonary hypertension (increased pressure in the pulmonary arteries that take blood from the heart to the lungs where it can get oxygen).
