You know, I usually don’t post, but this site is worth a quick one. Jebus that was funny! I used to work at a department store called Mervyn’s and I know first hand the shti people try to pull. I’ve seen some weird stuff, but never anything quite like this. If this guy would have crossed my path, I would have noticed, I mean, how the heck do you not notice someone signing with a grid?

LOL! That's funny! Gave me a good laugh.

Thank goodness nobody ever double checks my sig. It changes almost every time... seriously, I've never had that great of a handwriting.

I like to do stuff like sign upside down or just a line. Problem is, if I go to a place like a restaraunt they ALWAYS check my ID because "You don't look old enough to have a credit card"

Those were with checkcards, but according to Visa and American Express, I was old enough when I turned 11! (That's when they started soliciting me with ads hahaha) -- of course, not like they'd actually put em through

Depending on how big of a hurry I'm in, my signature ranges from fairly readable to one that would shame a doctor. Once at my local Wal-Mart, the clerk actually checked my signature against the card and told me the signatures didn't match. I just looked at her and said flatly, "Would you like me to sign it again so it does match?" After a moment of silence, she said no and handed me my card and receipt

I did this back in Norway all the time. No dice here in Queensland, Oz. I have to take out my credit card from my pocket all the time for them to check. Nobody compared the signatures back where I come from, so I'm used to pocketing it after I've signed.

That's somewhat old, but always funny anyway.

That guy does a whole bunch of pranks like that (taking Viagra in church comes to mind) on his site, Zug.

http://www.zug.com/ IIRC.

ah yes the lovely credit card slip signatures.

i used to work at wal mart and i would get on customers nerves when i told them that they HAD to sign the slip exactly how it was on their drivers license. being a cashier has to be the easiest jobs in the world. and i remember customers used to trip on me because they didn't sign like that anymore.

good times...!

yeah, it's so bad here sometimes I use my friend's cards to buy booze and I've never been checked out.
Moreover, the name on the credit card doesn't match the name on my I.D. that they're holding the whole transaction.
