Hey, folks who have or are trying to get AppleCare certification (Help Desk plus (Desktop or Portable)):

Since the last few threads on this topic died down, Peachpit Press has released some Apple-approved books geared towards preparing for the three relevant exams. Has anyone out there used these books? Anyone think that the books alone are sufficient to prepare for the tests, or does it make more sense to pay the $300 for Apple's training materials?

An Amazon.com review for one of the Peachpit books said it should be used as a companion for the Apple courseware. But I was hoping to use the books to save money. So, what do others think: books ($70), Apple training materials ($300), or both ($370 (duh))?

thanks.
he who lacks a sig.
