I make a mean chili. It's not too much work, but it does take a little effort. You can find those packets of McCormack or similar chili seasoning mixes. They come in an envelope with a recipe on the package..

Instead of ground beef, I use ground turkey. Instead of tomato sauce, I use canned whole or crushed tomatoes (I'll also grab an extra can of the tomatoes as a safety in case the finished product is too thick.)

Also, I only use half the recommended kidney beans while adding some finely diced onion, green pepper, celery, and occasionally carrots.

A bag of shredded cheddar, a jar of hot sauce (tabasco or cayenne pepper), and some sour cream are nice a la cart items for the crowd. And, if I can find good, firm portugese rolls or similar, I'll offer them as bread bowls.

Maybe it is too much effort for you, or perhaps unappealing. You could always get a bunch of buffalo wings to go from a local grease house.

Pizza. Nachos. Funyuns. Brownies. Wings.

Or you could be trendy and offer sushi. California roll anyone?

I like a good Taco dip.

Layer:
refried beans
sour cream with taco seasoning mixed in
guacamole
tomatoes
olives
cheese
salsa

This is not hard and is very tasty.

I don't really have any favorites. Whatever is available at the time.
