My wife is teaching me Vietnamese and as part of my "lessons" she gives me sentences to translate. I can use any resource, just have to get it translated. Anyone here that can help with the following?
1. anh goi em lai duoc khong?
2. bye nghe
Many thanks in advance!
1. Can you call me over?
"Anh"="older brother" used as a title of respect by someone (male or female) younger than you.
"goi"=call
"em"=title referring to herself as someone younger.
"lai"=come. "goi em lai"=roughly means "call me here" or "call me to you".
"duoc khong"="can you"
2. sorry not sure about this one. Well, "bye" is like the English "goodbye" but "nghe" could be someone's name.
Hope that helps. Damn, my Vietnamese sucks.
