Shooting prarie dogs makes a man feel... alive. Just the rush you get from looking crazed rodent death in the eyes, from coming face to face with your fears, to dance on the the edge of oblivion with a burrow digging ball of terror as your sultry mistress and survive! My God, man! The rush!

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

In Germany killing vertebrates like this is illegal. Killing for fun and maximum carnage is just disgusting.
Those idiots belong in jail.

Killing rodents where I grew up is legal all year round. In fact, they have recently started increasing the incentive to shoot them because of overpopulation.
I grew up with horses, and the easiest way to break a horses foot is by having it step in one of the holes these animals produce.
I don't condone the glorification of the killing process, but it's just as vicious as every piece of meat you eat at your dinner table or wear around your waistline or on your shoes.

its no different than a rat trap in your back yard, except this is more humane.
rodents spread disease, ruin crops, land, etc. The farmers pay money to have these animals exterminated.
I don't get what the big deal is. Better than torturing them. One second they're alive the next, they're dead.

I guess it's easier on the environment than poisoning them.
The scavengers would die from the poison.

Just sick.
There must be a reason why rodents spread with no natural enemies (any more). It's most likely because man has messed up nature's balance before...

...like by killing off all the coyotes and wolves?
That said, I still can't help but laugh at that video.

Ok, in an attempt to re-discover the history timeline
1) All coyotes and wolves were killed because they killed the cute, harmless prairie dogs. (or maybe for other stupid reasons...)
2) The prairie dogs mate and populate like crazy
3) Prairie dogs are killed because they are not useful and are overpopulated
FUTURE EVENTS
4) All prairie dogs were killed.
5) XYZ mate and populate like crazy, because there are no prairie dogs no more
6) All XYZ get killed due to overpopulation

If ranchers weren't so zealous about killing the prairie dogs' natural predators, then they wouldn't have such a serious prairie dog problem. Dumb-asses.
The black-footed ferret has all been wiped out. If there was a lot more of them, they'd do a nice job of killing those evil prairie dogs.
