Call me crazy but looking at the Napster homepage I can't help but notice how they are trying to emulate the iPods advertising.

http://homepage.mac.com/bitfly/.Pict...sc/napster.jpg

The use of bands of colours and even Gwen on top of it. Also the green they use is almost the same green band Apple is using with the iPod shuffle campaign.

Are they this desperate?

Obviously I wouldn't have started the thread if the answer wasn't yes.

I think this matter is too serious and complicated to answer it with a simple yes or no. Here is my well thought out answer:

Wait... so Apple were the first people to come up with sites that use bright colours from a wide spectrum? Dang... guess that means my site from like two years ago was totally copying the iPod adds! Crap... actually you wanna say anyone is copying anyone, they're both copying Macromedia's older/better site from years ago around the time of Fireworks 3.

You know, someone could sue Napster for disinformation. An advert must always be accurate about what you get for your money. In this case, they are trying to compare themselves with Apple unfairly by saying 'without paying 99c a track'. One is buying, the other is renting. A watchdog should force Napster to make that difference clear.

I hope that was a joke. Apple is the first one to advertise music service using bright primary colours using shilloettes yes.
