Never to the "call the paramedics, pump his stomach" point, but I have gotten waaaaay too drunk a few times in my younger days.
I have also lost a few dear friends to ODs. Heroin, mostly.

A friend of mine should have OD'd after taking about 40 to 50 tylenol in a 24 hour period.

Mixing uppers & downers is just asking for trouble, you know.

That's one reason I love weed - it is impossible to OD on it. I once got into a "smoke-off" with a guy who had a rep as a major stoner. We smoked an ounce of fine stuff between us, and called it a draw.

Heh, an OD on weed is basically you pass out and/or puke (with a slight possibility of temporary retardation*). I don't think there have ever been any fatalities from pot.

Marijuana supresses the gag reflex, so I doubt you'd puke. I just get tired and go to bed.

Just make sure its clean mang. Don't want to get some nasty stuff in there trying to get you hooked on crack or something. That was the big "danger" where I was from. Laced joints. Not that I ever tried it. I just said no.

I'm a Bad Mthrfckr and I've never OD'd, but i did laugh at my friend while he had his stomach pumped. You can really hear it all being sucked out (imagine the sound of bath water draining down a particularly loud plug hole), even over their moans and groans of displeasure. Lovely!

I tried drugs twice in my life. Both Acid.

The first time was great, I was out in my backward, it was warm and sunny. It was really an awesome experience. So I tried it again. I blanked out and when I woke up I was standing in my neighbor's yard, naked. I never did it again.

i've seen several that have puked from smoking but i think it was due to over coughing.

the 5-10 times i've done it have been aight. never really had a bad experience i just hate not being in control of my thoughts.

Funny, but long, O.D. story.

When I was in the fourth grade, I was having some breathing problems. I was misdiagnosed as having asthma, and the doctor gave me a sample of some medication, called Theodore (or something like that), to try out. Unfortuneately, he didn't provide instructions for taking the medication.

So, day one, I take one of the pills every six hours, taking the first just before bed. I slept well, didn't really notice anything amiss. So I get up, and I take another pill, eat my breakfast get ready for school, and, all of a sudden, get a huge, eye-splitting headache. I tell my mom, and she lets me go to work with her (she was a cook at a daycare center at the time), instead of going to school. By the time we got there, my headache was gone, but I was starting to feel weird. A little dizzy, a little disoriented, but mostly just hyper and jittery.

My mom went about her work, and I went on my merry way, playing out on the playground. All was well, and I just suddenly had a ton of energy to burn off. At some point, things went terribly terribly wrong. I'm not sure why the fact I was coughing up blood didn't bother me, but for some reason, I didn't think anything was wrong. I just felt really good, really hyper, and just wanted to keep moving.

Eventually, my mother came out to check on me, saw I was running around like a little crackhead, saw the blood all over my shirt, freaked out, and rushed me to the hospital.

Apparently, I was supposed to take half of one of those little football-shaped pills once a day. Not one pill every six hours. So I had about four days worth of the drug in my system. They didn't pump my stomach, or anything so glamorous, they just tried their best to keep me still and well hydrated, and I was pretty much fine the next day.

My mom blames herself to this day, I think it was mostly the doctor's fault for not providing dosage instructions. But, no harm done in the long run, so who cares anyway.
