I'll take a crack. I'd say no. You wouldn't need two different words with different meanings to describe it if they were the same. Beauty is perfection or attractive qualities to an intended viewer or audience. Truth is fact, reality, undeniable. IMHO, the two are not the same.
Truth CAN be beautiful, but beauty is not always true. Just look at all the airbrushed models in magazines!

The original title of this thread is "Wat is GOD." Note the misspelled first word. I do not believe that the first word is supposed to be "what." No, the first word should be "Cat." I wholeheartedly concur: Cat is God. Just ask one.
