what exactly is the square inches the imac g4 take up? (not counting the screen just he half dome.) Same question goes for the imac g5. I am guessing but im sure that the imac g5 is a lot bigger.

why do i ask this? well because if the imac g5 is a lot bigger then what hope do we have of ever seeing a decently thin powerbook g5? sure with time everything is accomplished but these darn pentium M laptops are getting smaller and smaller.

their catching up!! run run hurry hurry!!! nooooo!!!!!!!!!

I don't have the measurements available, but I seriously doubt that the foot of the iMac G5 takes up more space than the half-dome of the iMac G4. Not only that, but the foot of the iMac G5 is flat, so that you can put the keyboard on top of it in cases when you don't need it (like when you do paperwork on your desk). That's handy.

Any progress, in Mac or PC systems, is always good news. What, you think the Pentium M's are going to make you switch back?

Take a look back at the thread on why PowerBooks won't be going G5 anytime soon. In fact, I'm wondering if the next new model is dual-core G4 rather than single G5.
Unless the liquid cooling technology can be made into a laptop.
