ONCE AGAIN I will bring up that:

When the iPod was first introduced, this forum here at MacNN was so anti-iPod you'd think Steve Ballmer was a mod. Nearly everybody hated the thing and predicted it's demise.

Nearly everyone? There were a lot of people that thought that it was a nice machine but would sell mediocrely... and that was true until Apple brought it to Windows users.

I don't even think I was on the forum when the iPod was introed. But originally I thought, wow that's really cool, wish I had a firewire port

I loved the mini though and was gona get one (and did) as soon as it was announced in Canada. And if I had a reason to get the shuffle I would... perhaps we will for my mom if she starts buying iTMS stuff with her Mac mini. (Once I buy it)
