Ok, so I was down in Surrey today as part of the studio audience for a UK Car show that is being re-made for the US to be shown on the Discovery channel later this year (April/May I think), presented by Jeremy Clarkson and saw this car outside when I was leaving.

I've seen it before somewhere, but can't think what it's called, or find anymore info on it.
It's made by an ex aeronautical company, as it features styling to relflect the companies history, such as propellor props as the steering wheel suports.
If anyone could tell me what it is I would be very grateful.
Adam

Oh no - are they re-making Top Gear for the Americans? Can it work? What's wrong with the original? (except all the American-car and Bush bashing )

Looks like a brawny Boxster. *yawn*
For $300K I'd get a Vanquish S, or a trio of Maserati Spyder GTs.

I do believe the top gear for the discovery channel is going to be a one-off bit, or maybe a couple episodes. I don't think they're planning on doing a full series. Check out:

They are doing a 'full' series, at least in some respects.
They are making 20 or so shows for the series, but the contents of these is based over the past couple of series of Top Gear here in the UK (judging by the videos I saw today).
This morning we filmed two episodes for the USA, which basically meant they just re-shot all the links between the video segments of the show with dialogue more suited to an american audience.
This meant they were reffering to the Golf as a 'Compact', giving the prices in dollars, using the word 'trunk' and prononucing words such as aluminium so that an american audience would understand. (kind of tells you about the people who watch shows on 'The Discovery Channel')
Overall the only difference in the format of the show, is that there are no celebrity laps, as most people in America have no idea who Richard Whightley and Steve Coogan are!

Ha!, they are soon to 'discover' La Clarkson. Well I suppose it's some small revenge for 'Friends'

There's something about the engineering in this car that makes it a class of it's own... I mean look at the details....

Don't have the exact specs (their website sucks big time) but under the hood it's basically a BMW. Weighs about 1200kgs, puts out 343hp which leads me to believe they used the inline six from BMW's M folks.
I'd take it for a spin.
