Whoa - Safari isn't even showing the body of this message even though it says, "Thank you for posting!"

Anyway, I said this:

How many of you post from the office or at work?

I was wondering about that and if there is ever a problem. A lot of companies are cracking down on bloggers so I wonder if the company you work for would dislike the fact that you are posting on company time.

I am working...but am not at an office.

I post from work (and am at work). Thankfully they don't block much outside of the obviously "at home only for personal viewing sites" and gaming sites. It annoys me a little when tech. review sites are banned b/c of "game" somewhere in the source code of their page.

I'm at work and it's 9:19am CST. Since I manage all the systems here, I can do whatever I want and make sure nobody else can.

Yes I'm at work, but I've only been doing it since I moved desks so that I face the bosses office and he can't see my screen . I had my back to the office before so he could see my monitor.

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

w00t to posting from work.

I consider the forums an extension of MacWorld Expo in a way. At least the part where I talk to other Mac users.

Work pays for that so why not the forums?

again...w00t

No. I'm at home. The reason that I'm able to post.

I'm at work, the school doesn't block anything (and I do mean anything).

As for whether they mind, I'm not sure, I've never asked.

I´m mostly posting from work. It´s one of the privileges of scientific jobs that almost nobody can control your usage of www as an information source (only the IT people in the computational centre, and they´re nerds like us, so they won´t bite (too hard))

I actually can't stand how my school wastes so much money on sports so I really don't feel bad when we lose. Coming from Chicago I got to see Jordan many times in action and those memories will have to last for me I guess.

Back on topic, I am now posting from class.

I'm semi-retired now, but I used to post a lot from work.
The nature of my job was cyclical. There were stretches of months at a time during which all I had to do was field the occasional phone call and send out a form letter or two each day. That left me lots of time for important stuff like MacNN.

What do you do in Albany? and didn't you used to live in the Adirondacks?

I lived in Albany from 6-18 and boy am I glad I left.

Right now I mostly amuse myself. I worked for many years for various NYS agencies.
Yes, I used to live up near Glens Falls and Lake George. Albany isn't too bad, if you like boring places.

Boring? try provincial . . . or maybe that's just my big city snobbery showing through.

My grandfather used to keep a cabin-cruiser on Lake George, lots of fond memories of that as a kid but I am still glad I left.

PS--I used to live right by the uptown campus of SUNY Albany, just a couple blocks away from Stuyvesant Plaza.

ARRRGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!..... actually got swept by clemson too... damn celler dwellers. At least we swept Duke... hopefully we'll split with UNC. The Terps seem to play to their competition. Thus, they played like a high school team last night.
