The most important thing is they are a Apple certified retailer.

As long as they are Apple-certified, then there should be no problems. Although Apple sells these plans through their retailers, unless I'm mistaken the actual program only covers issues where something has to actually be sent into Apple. Who you actually buy the plan from doesn't matter, as long as they're authorized to sell it.

You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

AppleCare covers repairs through any Apple Authorized Service Center.

It is my understanding that AppleCare is one of the few Apple products that resellers can make money on. So, that being said- I can see how they might go ahead and take that cut in price in order to help them sell more computers and such.

As long as you buy it from an Apple Authorized Reseller, and you register it before your original one year warranty expires, you're fine.
