This may be a little off for this forum but I need some help.

I work in a PC environment where the computers are infected with Internet Explorer. My manager told me to write up a business plan for the upper management to consider why Firefox should be allowed to be in use on the PCs. I'm having some difficulty locating good resources that compare IE to Firefox in detail. The ones I found in google were kinda vague so far.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are able to give a demo, why don't you show them both loading the same popup, spyware infested crap page. Of course show IE first. The popup protection alone would be enough to convince me.

Run Firefox exclusively for a week and then run Ad-Aware in their presence.

As much as I'd love to do that, I doubt management would sit still long enough for that if they show at all. This company spans a couple states so the managers the report will go to are in a different city... hence the paper base report

  1. Go here and check out the USA Today and the Forbes article linked from that page.
  2. Go there.
Should be a decent starting point.

you should write in the intro that HTML programming has become more consistant and therefore the dominance of a browser is less crucial that it was in previous years.
