I still remember when iTunes itself could do this. Which version of iTunes was it again?

accessTunes is not freeware. It is currently $15 shareware, and will expire after it has streamed 50 songs.
Will they offer a full refund if Apple killed it?

Can't Apple just tell them to stop development and remove it from the site? If you already downloaded it and payed for it you should be fine.

Thank you Severed Hand of Skywalker, sounds like a nice way for my wife to be able to share my songs.

Is it? iTunes already did it, and indeed it still does it, except it does it only on a local network.

And if it's for personal use, how is more stealing then say burning your own CDs?

Anyways, which version of iTunes got rid of web-sharing? 4.0.1?

4.0 it was a loophole, they fixed it in 4.1 but it wasn't just web sharing by streaming, you could actually copy the songs.

now apple has even limited it to 5 people a day connecting to your computer to listen.

As long as there is good and evil, light and dark, noise and silence and many other such contrasts there will be a way to share without consent.
