I may have the opportunity to get a job for a company that does web development. My only concern is they use Perl as their main scripting language. I have been an ASP/PHP programmer for years. Will it be a big feat to switch over to Perl or will having previous experience in a scripting language make it easier to switch? Thanks for any advice.

IMHO, Perl is the most obtuse language to read! Having said that, the only way you will find out is to give it a try yourself.

It's not all that different. I am mostly a PHP guy too but I can get my way around a Perl script just fine.

I didn't get the Perl job but did find one. Today was my first day. This company uses ColdFusion, which looks like much more fun to learn than Perl.
