I got a gmail account quite a while ago (due to the kindness of itai195 on these boards), but I haven't been actively using it as I have an older version of Safari so had to use Mozilla if I wanted to check it. Recently they've enabled POP usage though, so I'm hooked in to Mail. Still, no one knows my address yet.
Anyway, today I got the following mail:
subject: dinner
Yo Will,
_
What's your schedule like this weekend?_
_
Btw. I'm going to get rid of this email soon. I'll let you know when it updates to
steve.chan@XXXXXXXXXXX.com

This doesn't appear to be spam - am I missing something? This is also weird because I thought my e-mail address was myname at gmail dot com, but he's typed in my dot name at gmail dot com and it's worked. Is this a feature?
Also caught me off guard because I happen to know a Steven Chan, but he doesn't live/work in NY!
