They dont seem to have it together like ups does
My wireless keyboard was supposed to get here from apple yesterday. I come home to find a chicken scratched note on my door written on the back of a shopping reciept saying "fedex ground 1 package at office" I go to the rental office, all 3 girls had been there all day, the fedex guy had come and not left a package for me. I track it online and it says, recieved "met customer" Apparently it takes the "customer service" people at the 800 number 24 hours to "send the driver a message" they can't just pick up the phone. These tards not better do this with the ibook that left today from Suzhou, China.
Update, lol as i finish this last sentence I get a knock on my door and the guy found the keyboard--redemption

FedEx left my new PB at my front door. Of course they tried to cover the box with my door mat.

My experience with Fedex has been 100 fold better than UPS. The Fedex guy will call me to deliver and even make multiple attempts on the same day.

The UPS guy flys by at 40mph and call's it an atempted delivery.

UPS always has problems. FedEx isn't great but certainly better than UPS. (Some how my Powerbook make it all the way to Dallas WITHOUT AN ADDRESS ON THE BOX, just the city, zip and apartment number... nice one Apple! They called me and made arrangements for me to pick it up.)

I've never had any problems with FedEx, UPS on the other hand seems to delay my packages and damage my packages whenever possible. I always request deliverys be made via FedEx whenever possible. Even when you compare Ground to UPS Ground, their service isn't only much quicker, but when you ship things out cheaper as well.

My personal favorite is Airborne Express (DHL)...very good transit time and cheaper than the others for alot of things.

FedEx is nice, in that they leave a message on my answering machine when they have left a package at the rental office (no delivery notice on the apartment building door though); whereas, if it wasn't for me constantly checking the tracking status, I would NEVER know if UPS delivered something to the rental office. No delivery notice on the door of my building or anything...horrible!

Gotta agree with the plug for DHL. I had ordered a wireless router and on the day that it was to arrive (via DHL), it did not. I tracked it online to find that the driver couldn't get into our complex because he didn't have the gate code. I was pissed that, had it not been for my online tracking, I wouldn't have known they had even attempted to deliver. So I called cutomer service, expecting to get even more angry, and to my surprise they were totally helpful. The woman on the phone was like "OK lets see, the package will be back at the shipping center in half an hour; we'll send a courier over with it right away." So, long story short, they are now cool in my book.
