So our vacuum cleaner broke after 12 years. We decided to get a new one. We heard about this new Dyson one and decided that with all the other crap out there, how bad could it be?

The thing rocks. It's a vacuum cleaner and I actually like this stupid thing. Why? Because it gets the job done MUCH better than the crappy Kenmore we had before. It was pulling up sh*t I didn't even know we had in the carpet.

The similarity to Apple is that the guy sets the prices on the cleaners, much like Apple does with its hardware. No sales, no differences in prices for these things from store to store. The woman said they sell like mad (and in fact, someone else that was there bought one).

They're expensive, but worth it.

I've heard mixed reviews on this maker. Worth the money?

I was looking into a Dyson ($499); however, I settled for a Eureka "The Boss" bagless vacuum for only $100 and couldn't be happier with the performance. No way the Dyson can pick up that extra $399 savings in my book, let alone the carpet...

Is it worth the $? Not sure. We take turns vacuuming and we've only had it since this afternoon so it's hard to say. Better than the last one we had, for sure. I'll have a better idea in a week or two.

I've heard they are crap for the price. The ones I've seen in person looked like they were cheaply made and didn't at all match the $599 price tag. Just get a nice shop vac than you can suck up anything!
