Hey all,
I was just reading an article on how many dB's the new iPod minis can put out, and it got me wondering - what is a healthly dB level to listen to music on (with headphones, and not just on the iPod).
Of course I know it is relative to how long you listen to music for.. so let's say for example -

5-10 mins.
1 hour.
8 hours (a full day's work).

Anyone know? Thanks for any info.. much appreciated. I've had some problems with headphones in the past and want to make sure I do as little damage as possible to my ears in the future.

Cheers.

As long as your ears don't bleed, you're fine.

As long as you keep your headphone output at around/below 90 dBA (for sustained use) you'll probably be fine.

That said, I have /no idea/ how you would set the iPod to output a particular level of sound. That depends entirely on your sound setup.
