I got up into the 8000s once, but that was a long time back.

Does anyone remember what the red and green force fields (Touko and Misato) do? I'm compiling a faq, and I'm almost finished. After that force-field description, all I have to do is figure out the conditions for the Youko/Nanaka special (Comic Force Field) are. I know that Youko's Block ability must be active, and I think that the rest has to do with having exactly one male character in the lineup of three onscreen, but I'm not sure yet.

I could put it here, sure. Much of the information is already posted elsewhere, but I haven't seen anyone figure out all of the special conditions yet. I've figured out all of them except Youko/Nanaka's.

MISATO (Green) - Touch the ground or start the game, and then touch any female character. Misato's special will stay active until you touch the ground again.
TOUKO (Pink) - Touch Touko once. Her special will be active until you touch any other female character.
KIRI (Blue) - Kiri's special is active anytime Miki is standing behind her.
MIKI (Yellow) - Miki's special is active anytime Kiri is standing behind her.

Some notes:
  • Using a special move does not inherently deactivate it (though Miki and Kiri will push themselves out of range, and Nanaka's special deactivates Youko's Block). This means that you can use specials multiple times in a row, as long as you do not deactivate them.
  • Male characters do not count as female characters or the ground, so they have no effect on whether specials are activated or deactivated.
  • Nanaka's Aerial-Crash move does not count as touching a female character or the ground (though the downward Aerial-Crash can cause you to touch the ground).
  • Misato's and Touko's specials are activated after the normal moves are applied. This is why Touko can have a normal move at all (otherwise she would only do specials). It also means that Misato can't activate her own Special, because Stop takes effect before that can happen.

so how do you use these specials once they are active? and how can you aim at a specific girl (isn't it pretty much a gravity thing?)?

To use any special except Nanaka's, touch the character that goes with it. To use Nanaka's special, touch any female character while Youko's block is active and her special is lit.

As for aiming for specific characters: the only way to really do it is by using Nanaka's downward Aerial-Crash. This can't be used in all cases, but it gets the job done. The only character you can reliably aim at is the very first one, by starting out with a very low angle. This can be risky, of course; there are times when Misato is the first character, and there's no way to activate her Special before then.

I've found three hacked versions out there that I thought people might be interested in:None of these are terribly fair -particularly not the second- but the third one is useful for getting a peek at the CFFs.

6979.64 so far, gets to a stage when you just watch him bounce every so often and see the number shoot upwards. A bit like playing Sonic, just watching him collect rings as you jump or turn once in a while .

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.
