Rob, your bio is intriguing. I've put the movie in my Netflix queue, I'm happy that you love your son so much... my dad is on the same cloth and trust me, you will reap the rewards.

I think it's funny how 16-20 year olds want to be into the 'indie' music scene, but they all know the bands everybody is talking about because they're on the radio. What a joke.

I don't know. I just liked whatever music I liked, I didn't care if it was 'indie' or not. My point was I don't see how a band like "Death Cab for Cutie" which I see everywhere is very 'underground'. Once something is called underground, it generally isn't.

yeah Rob is right i guess, once a band is known to be indie its no longer indie - The Arctic Monkeys and Libertines were both like that (to name a few obviously)

Whatever. The whole profile really comes together. Someone claiming to like underground music but their favorite band is not very underground at all, favorite beverage is MILLER, the most generic beer besides budweiser, and he drives a honda civic, the most generic young person import ever. Lemming alert. Oh well. In time maybe he'll grow up and start to have his own likes and dislikes.

I only heard of Death Cab for Cutie about a week ago, and I've never seen them mentioned anywhere outside the Internet here, so I actually thought they were rather obscure. And he never claimed they were underground. He never even claimed they were indie, actually, just that his favourite genre of music is indie music.

'Underground' and 'indie' do not necessarily mean 'obscure'. Most of the music I listen to can be labelled either one or both of the two, but not much of it can be considered obscure.

Plus, the whole 'all indie kid teenagers are just lemmings' thing becoming just as much of a stereotype an 'in' thing as the indie kid teenager thing itself. Cycles repeating.
