This guy can listen to iTunes on (or record AM/FM radio into) his touchscreen-enabled Mac. Pretty cool stuff.

That's exactly the type of setup I want, as soon as I own a car in which that setup wouldn't cost more than it.

That guy just made the coolest car ever. Full geek and he kept it stylish (metal is kinda eww but still, at least he put thought into it unlike the PVC pipe guy).

Need a way to attach mine to car stereo; and a better stereo
would be the best place to start.

I think it's amazing... but if I were to do it, I would drop the built in iPod connection and card reader. I think a cleaner design could be achieved by a retractable USB cable that tucks away out of sight.

I also like the brushed metal, but I think a more natural black would have integrated better with the interior.

I guess I'm not geEk enough...

Very nice. I have the same car, if only I could be bothered... guess I'll have to stick to my iPod +casette adapter. He needs to get that bezel anodized though, either very dark grey to match the interior or lighter grey to match iApps.

Great, now all I need is a car that costs more than a Mac Mini.

I found there to be a few questionable things in there... What's the sense of having an iPod doc? I guess to recharge your iPod on the road? I also feel like the media slots in the console look too geek for me. Perhaps if they were hidden...

I guess I like the inside of my car to look like the inside of a car and not a technology hub. IMHO, while technologically cool, I think the design implementation was an afterthought with regards to the iPod doc and the memory card slots.

And most of the mods on the site are cars with integrated iPod docks; this guy can do a little more than listen to music with this thing, though.

I completely agree that he can do MUCH more... but in the grand scheme of thing, he is rather limited. Music and movies are the only things that come to mind. I guess he could attach a keyboard and use it for driving directions if he added software...

It's also not connected to his car in any way like it could do fuel milage, warnings, rear view parking, etc. etc.

hmm, what would be really cool is if you set it up so that when you start the car, it turns the computer on and you hear the **bong** and when you turn the car off, it executes a shutdown or sleep that runs on a battery.

This is sweet music to the ear.
