It looks very different to me. Then again the last time I visited was a couple of years ago.

Oh, I certainly preferred the older look. Cleaner, crisper, faster (somewhat). This isn't bad though. If you're going to use Aqua, you shouldn't use it across the board - you should use Platinum when I click on Mac OS 8/9.

Over time we will get used to the new look. Maybe the new look is in preparation for Tiger.

You might say they also implemented Mac OS X 10.1's Snappiness™.

Look? Well, that certainly is one possible way to describe it (how very PC of you ). Not the first word that would have popped into my head - but yeah, it is quite the "look".

I'm always flabbergasted (and amused) that, to this day (it's not 1995 anymore, is it?), there's still companies out there that would put actual currency on the table for such a, uhm ... "look". Gives me the giggles.

Anyone know if this crime was committed "in-house"?

They reduced the software listing to one third of the page on the left. The rest is ads.

The software listing is two thirds on the left. The ads pay for the service.

You can switch to the orange theme if you like that better.

Wow, that's pretty gross. Went Aqua tabs and pre-Panther stripes. Um yea...

Oh, and when Pith helmet blocks their ads, you end up with empty space on the right. They so should have thought of that first.

I think the new look is improved over the old, but could still use some tweaks. I'm a casual user and mostly rely on the RSS feed.
Genius. You know who.

Oddly enough, the new version tracker loads much faster on all of my machines . . .

I like it.

. . . though I still like MacUpdate better.
