I find the whole idea repulsive like everyone else.

But, the fact is that most people don't give a second thought to baking a pork chop or eating a steak.

Substitute our regular cattle and sheep and swine for the exotics and most people probably would be a lot less offended.

Stop eating ALL meat and wearing leather and using animal by-products then you REALLY have some integrity and the "right" to complain about animals dying needlessly.

There is a lot of controversy over this idea. States don't like it because it seems to sidestep their hunting licensing. Animal rights activists don't like it because it makes hunting much less "real" to the supposed hunter. I don't like it for a number of reasons, and I will support any effort to kill (figuratively, of course ) this sort of business.

I think the Daily Show on Comedy Central did a thing on "news clip" on this.

Sounds like some people are just upset that they didn't think of it first.

While I'm not crazy about the idea, I don't have to participate in it either.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

To me, there is a considerable difference between animals being killed for food and clothing, and animals dying "needlessly".

But that's just me.

You don't actually get to shoot at animals via the computer. You only get to shoot at a target. Download the demo video for an example.

In order to hunt animals, you have to actually go to their ranch in Texas.

So if you get the bullseye, do you win something? WTF is the point? It's not in your hands so accuracy means shit.
